Youth Bowls Academy
The Deer Park Club is extremely excited to share further plans which will help develop the sport of bowls locally and on a larger scale in the years to come.
2024 is certainly shaping up as an exciting year at the Deer Park Club with the establishment of a ‘Youth Bowls Academy’ to coincide with the redevelopment of our State of the Art Dome.
With a great focus on developing the sport of bowls, the Deer Park Club sees youth development as the perfect partner for its facility redevelopment.
The Deer Park Club is proud to be a great supporter of the local community and the establishment of the Deer Park Youth Bowls Academy is a further initiative that will benefit the community and sport of bowls.
The Deer Park Youth Bowls Academy will involve three squads (development, emerging and elite) for the varying levels of skill and experience of youth players. These squads will work collectively along with specialised programs directed at each squad.
Squad members will benefit from a great level of support from the Deer Park Club and its academy coaches. The aim of the Academy is to help provide the perfect platform for the next generation of bowlers with mentoring, skill development, events, education, support and much more. The goal for each squad member will be to succeed both on and off the greens with education, experiences and support provided to ensure a greater level of opportunities are available thanks to the Deer Park Youth Bowls Academy.
Squad Members will receive equipment, scholarships, event assistance and other support along with coaching, mentoring, education, courses and other opportunities.
Further details to be announced in 2024 and we look forward to the establishment of the Deer Park Youth Academy and its first squad members next year.
